TAR #14: Who is responsible for this?

TAR #14: Who is responsible for this?

Who is responsible for this?

Unfortunately, I have heard this question way more than I wanted.

There was a client I was working with to optimize how they collaborated and how the work got done in their company.

The first thing he said when I presented the Scrum roles to him was:

“Collective ownership means collective irresponsibility to me.”

I can not blame him when he is in a situation where they are juggling responsibilities based on need.

It is hard to explain it to someone who has never experienced this blessing.

So I decided to take another road and visualize all the roles and responsibilities in a way acceptable for him, i.e., the RACI matrix.

Yes, you heard me right. The good old RACI. 🙂

And you know what? I liked it this way. Agile RACI.

I wanted to share it with you in case you are in the same situation I was in.

NOTE: I am not claiming this to be 100% correct or applicable to every situation. But surely can give some food for further thoughts.

Hope you found it helpful. :)
