Yesterday we were switching our hosting and making some changes on a page that never saved the changes. After several attempts, we contacted Customer Support. The guy suggested something surprisingly simple as "Please check with another browser". The first thought was, "This guy thinks We are newbie." But he was right. There was a glitch on the current browser.
How many times have we heard a solution like "Please clear your cache"?
Then we got back into our thoughts about the process and people management...We always think it should be something complicated as a volcano, tornado, earthquake to start coping with it. We read about OKRs, BPMs, KPIs, metrics, reports, different tools, methodologies, approaches, getting leads, strategies, etc. and get lost under the tons of information.
From there, we usually pick two directions: we stick to what we know, or we go into the wild. But do we have to go deeper to make our processes a little bit more efficient and our people happier from now on? Are we ready to cope with what we read?
The truth is usually as simple as "clear your cache" and "try those approaches that resolve a specific issue that you experience now".
Have a nice day wherever you are!
